Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (S.A.R.S.)

-SARS Virus taken from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations website

Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome, also known as SARS, also dubbed by the mainstream media mysterious killer pneumonia, conveniently popped up in the middle of serious acts of genocide (excuse me, I meant the American War on Terrorism). Unfortunately the mainsream media and the American public have made this disease much more menacing than it needed to be in the first place. While I am not trying to claim that SARS is unreal, or made up (there are some who would), I will say that based on the evaluation of results of case reports and being informed about SARS it is not anywhere near as threatening as the media made it out to be.

SARS has killed less than 10% of all those ever infected with it. In Fact, many other diseases, such as Kala Azaar & Malaria kill many more people on a daily basis and aren't even reported. This mysterious disease may keep scientists fascinated for years to come, so far it has been theorized that it is caused by the corona virus, the same cause as the common cold, however, not enough is known about it at this time to accurately tell.

As of July 11, 2003, the United States has had a cumulative total of 75 cases reported. 67 out of those 75 cases have recovered and there have been 0 casualties resulting from SARS. There have been a total of only 813 Deaths from SARS reported Worldwide out of a total of 8437 reported cases.*

Sadly enough for those who feel that SARS is actually something to worry about, scientists still have not discovered what causes it and some would begin to believe that SARS was really just made up to scare people (If you look at the time and the lack of information available on SARS, you might think so too). On a brighter note for those who do not like our mainstream brainwashing (I mean Media) Stations, they finally stopped with the SARS hype a long time ago... Thank Gods!

*Note: the tracking period for this time was initiated November 1st, 2002

*Note: These statistics can only deal with actual reported cases of SARS and can in no way be representative of every person who has ever been infected with SARS

Cumulative Number of reported Probable Cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)

In the WHO's Weekly Epidemiological record, No. 29, on the 18th of July 2003, the following was reported:

"On 5 July 2003, Taiwan, China the last area in the world to have experienced local transmission of SARS, was declared to have broken the chain ofperson-to-person transmission

...

"However, scientists cannot at present guarantee that SARS has vanquished, as questions remain about the origins of the virus and its possible seasonal occurence. In addition, transmission may be occurring somewhere in the world at sucha low level as to defy detection.
